Glenna Taylor of Doaktown, passed away peacefully at home, on January 8, 2023 at the age of 93. Born in Doaktown, she was the daughter of Victor and Mabel Russell. She was a teacher, a business woman and loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Glenna was well known in the community for her wit, her determination and her love of decorating, auctions and all things Victorian. She was a life-long member and strong supporter of St. Andrew’s Anglican Church.
She is survived by her loving husband of 69 years, Clarence Taylor, their 3 children Everett Taylor (Caroline) of Doaktown, Twyla Taylor (Robin McAdam) of Halifax and Vicki Taylor (Warren Giberson) of Moncton, their grandchildren Luke Taylor (Stephanie), Dominique Taylor (Kaleb Arbeau), Victoria Buffett, Mariah Giberson (Harrison Tchir), Naomi Giberson, Chloe Giberson, Matthew McAdam (Misaki), Stuart McAdam, Erica McAdam and great-grandchildren June McAdam, Owen Taylor, Sophie Taylor and Tristan Buffett. She is predeceased by grandson Scott Taylor and sister Nola McRea (Sterling).
Special thanks to caregivers Vicki Fowler, Lorna Gillespie and Victoria Buffett, extramural nurses, Dr. Chow and Rev. Neil Osiowy.
Visitation will be held at Davidson’s Funeral Home, Friday, January 13, 2:30 pm – 4:30 pm and 6 pm – 8pm. The funeral service will be held at St. Andrew’s Anglican Church on Saturday, January 14 at 11 am, followed by a reception at the Atlantic Salmon Museum
