It is with heavy hearts to announce that we lost our beloved brother, father, uncle, grandfather, great grandfather and friend, George Vossinakes in the early morning on June 8, 2023 at the age of 94 years. He leaves behind his sister Vassa Koistses, his children Mary, Rosie, Soola. His grandchildren Cassondra, Deanna, Joanna, James, Matthew ,Christopher his great grand children Chase, Eli, Alivia, Saphira, and Issac.
And is reunited today with his loving wife Christine and siblings Katarina , Sofie, Mary, and John.
George brightened up every room he entered with his charismatic presence and winning smile. A lover of travel, dancing and all things social we are blessed to say he lived an extraordinary life and are honored to have had him with us for as long as we did. He leaves behind a remarkable legacy. Accomplishing many accolades from immigrating to Canada, his time in the restaurant industry where he was proud to say he worked for colonel sanders; to his career in Real Estate where again he was acknowledged for his success. But his greatest blessing was his wife the late Christine Vossinakes and his family, his friends and the community of people he surrounded himself with. The relationships he built and leaves behind brought him the greatest joys. A great listener, and dear friend to all.
Our hearts burst with gratitude for the person he was and are comforted knowing he is at peace while we grieve his loss. We couldn’t have asked for a better father,uncle, grand father and great grandfather. As a family we look forward to hearing and seeing all the memories he shared with the people he valued most.
We lovingly appreciate and welcome all comments and photos and look forward to celebrating such a remarkable life with you.
