Dugas, Genevieve Catherine
It is with an appreciation for a life well-lived that the family of Genevieve Catherine Dugas, announce her passing which occurred on Sunday, August 27th, 2023 in her 90th year. Born on June 4, 1933, she was a daughter of the late Andrew and Mary Emily (Lowe) Muise.
Genevieve marched to the beat of her own drum for 90 years. She enjoyed social gatherings, bingo, playing cards, travelling and shared a passion for knitting. Many days were spent in the comfort of her kitchen where she was often found cooking and baking for her family and friends.
Genevieve is survived by her children; Robert Yeomans, Heather MacDonald and Joanne Yeomans. She is also survived by her brother Martin Muise, sister Margaret Dempsey along with her 6 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
Genevieve is also remembered by her special friends; David Comeau and Gladys Burton.
In addition to her parents, Genevieve is predeceased by her first husband Walter Yeomans, second husband Thomas Dugas along with her son in-law Wayne MacDonald and siblings; Louis Muise, Walter Muise, Joseph Muise, Bertha Bennett and Joan Frigault.
Arrangements are entrusted to Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (506-646-2424) with visitation being held on Friday, September 1st between 11AM – 1:30PM. The memorial service will be held from the Fundy Chapel at 2:00PM followed by an interment at St. Joseph’s Cemetery.
