Geneva “Jean” Dunford
It is with broken hearts that the family of the late Geneva “Jean” Dunford of Grand Bank announces her passing. Jean passed away at the Blue Crest Home in Grand Bank on Tuesday, May 16th, 2023, at the age of 80.
Leaving to mourn with a lifetime of wonderful memories are her husband Herbert of 59 years; sister, Mary (Arthur) Russell of BC; sisters in-law, Rose Melloy of ON, Mae (Lloyd) Smith of Alberta, Betty (Gerald) Lush of St. John’s, Gail Tucker of St. John’s; brother in-law, Roy (Phyllis) Dunford of Grand Bank; plus a large circle of niece, nephews, relatives and friends.
Jean was predeceased by parents, Fred & Mary Melloy; adopted parents, Rendell & Emily Vaters; sisters, Susie (Charles) Rogers, Hettie (John) Bennett, Frances Melloy, Margaret (Albert) Hillier; brother, Ambrose Melloy; brother in-law, Ivan Dunford.
The Dunford Family will be accepting visitors at Wiseman’s Funeral Home, Grand Bank on Thursday, May 18th, 2023 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm.
Funeral service will take place at Wiseman’s Funeral Home, Grand Bank on Friday, May 19th, 2023 at 2:00 pm. Interment to follow at Salvation Army Cemetery, Grand Bank.
In Jean’s memory donations may be made to the Grand Bank Salvation Army Cemetery Fund or flowers gratefully accepted.
Funeral arrangements entrusted to the care of Wiseman’s Funeral Homes – Grand Bank.
