Reid, Gary Douglas – Age 76, passed away peacefully on January 22, 2023, in QEII Infirmary, Halifax. Born in Caribou Gold Mines, Gary was a son of the late Clarke and Lillian. He is predeceased by his wife, Florence Darlene.
Gary was a loving husband and mill worker known for his hard work ethic. He lived in Musquodoboit most of his life and loved fishing and hunting. Gary was witty and determined. He loved his family and friends and always looked forward to company.
Gary will be fondly remembered by his surviving two sisters, Sadie and Dolly. He was predeceased by his brothers, John “Jack” and Wendell; and sisters, Helen, Shirley and Charlene.
In keeping with Gary’s wishes, there will be no service or visitation. Interment will be in the spring in Dean Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the QEII Foundation, Camp Hill Veteran’s Building, Memory Clinic.
Arrangements are under the direction of Arimathea Funeral Cooperative, Upper Musquodoboit.
From the bottom of our hearts, the family would like to thank Northwood staff as well as step-daughter, Kim for their loving care to Gary over the last few years.
