LOVE, Frank Wallace
It is with profound sadness that the family announce the passing of Frank Wallace Love on April 28, 2023 in his 94th year. Frank was born in Hamilton, Ontario to Dora (nee Higgins) and Robert Love. He leaves behind his loving and adoring wife Helen (nee Haines) of 70 years marriage, children Gordon (Leslie), Lorraine (Mark), Jennifer (Ken), Jason (Catherine), grandchildren Danielle, Jeffrey, Stephanie, Derek (Jessica), James, Michelle, Jaden and Dylan, great grandchildren Miles and Louella. Frank was the eldest of 8 children, survived by sisters Beverley, Joan and Linda and predeceased by sister Doreen and brothers Paul, Bill, and Robert Jr. Frank’s lifetime career was that of an elevator mechanic. He had many and varied hobbies and interests. He had a great love for Clydesdale horses which he showed at numerous fall fairs and the Royal Winter Fair. Katie was his treasured mare that he imported from Scotland. Frank had a true passion for antique and classic cars, trucks and tractors, with a particular weakness for Lincolns, Hudsons and Packards. He enjoyed the many and varied organizations in which he participated and he held offices in many of them over the years. He was a Ham Radio operator who helped establish the radio room at the Hamilton airport museum. He held public office for the School Board, Committee of Adjustment and Councillor in the Township of Glanbrook. He will be fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews and friends from the Historical Automobile Society of Canada and the Hudson-Es-Terraplane Club and members of the Mount Hope United Church and Case United Church. Friends and family will be received at MILLER FUNERAL CHAPEL, ( 28 Caithness St. E., Caledonia, Ontario), on Tuesday, May 2, 2023 from 2-4p.m. and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will take place on Wednesday, May, 2023 in Case United Church (6180 White Church Road, Mount Hope) at 11am. Interment to follow in North Glanford Cemetery. Special thanks to all the staff on the King’s Forest unit for their compassionate care over the last eight months and to Jane for the exceptional care that she provided to Frank over the last year. Special thanks to the palliative care nurses Tamera, T.J., Loretta, Chris and Syria. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations would be appreciated to the Alzheimer’s Society or Case United Church.
