With heavy hearts, we announce the sudden passing of Fortunato “Frank” Pillon on April 7th, 2023.
Born on August 11, 1932 in San Tomaso, Italy where he met the love of his life and best friend, Bruna (née Bortolotti), who passed away just two months before him. From their early days in Italy to their journey together in Canada, Frank and Bruna were an inspiring example of a lifelong love.
Frank was a devoted father to his children Lillian (Gord) and Daniel, and Nonno to his grandchildren Dayna (Alan) and Alexander. He will be deeply missed by his extended family and friends in both Canada and Italy.
Frank had a passion for soccer and was a devoted fan of his favorite team, Udinese Calcio. He loved spending time watching games with his family, and his humour and rhymes will always be remembered.
Although Frank will be dearly missed by all who knew him, his memory will continue to live on in the hearts of those he touched. May he rest in peace, reunited with his beloved Bruna once again, forever united in eternal love.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 16, between 2:00 – 4:00pm, and 6:00 – 8:00pm at the McBeath-Dynes Funeral Home, 246 Thames Street South, Ingersoll, ON. A Funeral Mass will be held on Monday April 17th at 11:00am at Sacred Heart Church, 131 Thames Street North, Ingersoll, ON, burial to follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery. Friends and family are invited for a lunch in Frank’s honour at Henderson Hall, 133 John St, Ingersoll, ON.
Donations in Frank’s memory may be made to Alzheimer Society. Personal condolences may be sent at www.mcbeathdynes.ca
