Obituary
Higgins, Frank, passed away peacefully at the Southampton Hospital surrounded by friends and family at the age of 74. Beloved husband to Sandra Higgins (nee Ladd) for over 50 years. Proud father of Shawn (Janine) and Cory (Shannon). Extremely proud grandfather to Emily, Persephone, Linkoln, and Henri. Dear brother to Leo and Leonard (Heather) and uncle to many nieces and nephews. Also, remembered by Sandra‘s family, Dan, Janice, Betty (Doug) and their families. Predeceased by his parents, John & Mary, siblings, Nell, Bern, Madge, John, Ron, Ethel, Harold, and Andrew, by Sandra’s parents, Frances & William Ladd, and by his sisters-in-laws, Sharon and Sheila.
Frank was stubborn and playful to the end, but what else would anyone expect from a legend in his own right. His high energy, quick witt, ability to make up songs/rhymes or change lyrics, hard work, love of classic cars, and his ability to make people laugh will be missed by all.
Please come and join us in the celebration and remembrance of Frank (Frankie) Higgins. We will gather together at the Port Elgin, Curling Club on June 24th, 2023 between the hours of 1 and 4pm. Light Luncheon, Tea/Coffee to be served. We welcome and encourage you to help us pay tribute to one of Frankie’s great loves by bringing your classic cars to display so Frankie may look down upon us and enjoy the view.
