1919-2023
Florence (Geldart)
Mollins, of Moncton, was called home to her Lord and Savior on March
7, 2023.
Born in Synton, NB she was the
daughter of the late Walter and Eliza (Brown)
Geldart.
She will be dearly
missed by her loving sons, David (Jean) Mollins, Dwight (Cheryl)
Mollins; grandchildren Brian (Karen), Paul (Tamena), Randy (Michelle),
Blaine (Lynne), Krista (Gary), Ian (Lesa); 15 great grandchildren and
three great great grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews and many
friends. Aside from her parents, she was predeceased by her
husband Sterling (Bill) Mollins, brothers Douglas (Ted), Garfield and
Ronald, sister Thelma Beamish, four half brothers Alden, Lawrence,
Riley, Allen and one half-sister Leila.
Devoted to her family
as a homemaker, she also worked as a book keeper at Mountain Way
Supermarket, La Bonne Nouvelle book store and Mollins
Housing. She was an avid golfer and played tennis and
badminton in earlier years. She walked each day until recent
years and only gave up driving at 102 years old!
She had a very strong
and devoted faith to her Lord and Savior, and was active in the
Journey Church singing in the choir, WMS and as a Sunday school
teacher in her years spent in South Brookfield, NS. The most
important thing in her life was her family. From her two
sons to her great great grandchildren.
She was the
matriarch of our family.
The family would like
to say a special thank you to Dr’s Kelly, Beals and Falk and
the nurses of 3500 cardiac and 3600 palliative care units of the
Moncton Hospital.
Florence’s
family will be receiving friends and relatives at The Journey Church
1539 Salisbury Rd., Moncton, NB, on Friday, March 10, 2023 from 6:00pm
to 8:00pm. A service will take place Saturday at the Journey Church at
2:00pm. Arrangements are entrusted to Cobb’s Funeral Home
and Cremation Center, 330 Whitepine Road, Riverview, NB (869-2007).
Interment will take place at Fair Haven Cemetery at a later
date.
Donations may be made
to Friends of The Moncton Hospital or a charity of the
donor’s choice would be appreciated by her
family.
