1946-2023
It is with sadness the family announces the passing of Evelyn
McFee, 77, on June 29th, 2023 at the Jordan
Lifecare Centre. Born in New Castle, she was a daughter of the late
Vincent & Jeanne Palmer.
Evie was a hard worker who made friends wherever she went,
she sensed adventure and moved to iquluit for 10yrs, she was an avid
reader who loved nature and animals and no one could beat her at
jeopardy. She helped her family selflessly. She loved to brag to
everyone about her daughter and grandkids.
Evelyn is survived and sadly missed by her daughter, Nanette
(Darryl) O’Neill; her sisters: Barbara Palmer, Karen Stack
and Brenda Carson; her grandchildren: Justin Thompson, whom she shared
a very special bond with; Chad Steeves (Carrie) and Faith Steeves
(Nathan); her very best friend, Nan Mersereau; as well as several
nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, Evelyn was predeceased by her brother,
Charles Palmer.
The family would like to express a sincere thank you to the
staff of the Jordan Lifecare Centre for their tremendous
care.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Salisbury
Funeral Home, 506-372-4800. The family will be receiving relatives and
friends on Tuesday, July 4th from 6:00pm
– 8:00pm at the Salisbury Funeral Home. A Funeral Service
celebrating Evelyn’s life will be held the following day,
July 5th at 1:00pm at the Salisbury Funeral
Home Chapel. All are welcome.
If desired donations made to Strays of Sus or the
Abandoned Cat Rescue would be greatly appreciated by the
family.
