Ethel passed away peacefully at the age of 88 years with her loving husband, Walter, along with four daughters, Audrey, Valma, Roxanne, Elaine and their husbands at her side. She loved to work in her gardens until her health would not allow her to enjoy this anymore. While assisting her husband in his ministry in the United Church, through her Christ like service she devoted her time to minister to many widows and seniors in the communities where they served.
Ethel leaves to mourn, her husband, Walter; Daughters, Audrey Fisher(Bob), Valma Pike (Rod); Sharon Ghory (Stephen); Roxanne Biles(Brian), Elaine Biles(Andre). Also to mourn are 4 Grandchildren, 3 Great Grandchildren. She is predeceased by her Parents: Arthur and Eva Patey; Brothers; Gordon Patey and Sydney Patey, Sister; Mabel Windsor; and son Randy Biles.
Visitation will be held at Fewer’s Funeral Home, Clarenville on Wednesday, January 4 from 3 – 5 p.m. Funeral service 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 5, 2023 at Fewer’s Memorial Chapel, Clarenville with interment to follow at Milton-George’s Brook Cemetery.
The family would like thank all the doctors and nurses at Dr. G.B Cross Memorial Hospital that cared for Ethel during her stay.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Clarenville Salvation Army.
