It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the families of Ethel Ada Jean Laing announce her passing on Wednesday, January 4, 2023, at the age of 80 years.
Leaving to mourn her 3 sons; Bramwell (Debbie, daughters Chantal & Emily, great grandson Finnley), Brian (Tara, daughters Abigail & Danielle), and Byron (daughters Amanda & Courtney). Her brothers Chesley (Greta, children Deanna & Michael), Myles (Daphne, children David & Selina), along with her beloved sister Ruby (Bud, son Barry) and great nieces and nephews. Jean is predeceased by her husband, Felix, and her parents; Chesley & Elizabeth, her brother Kevin, and Uncle George.
A dedicated & active member of her community and church where she played organ for more than 60 years, visitations will take place on Sunday, January 8th, 2023, at 7:00 – 9:00 pm at the United Church, Shoal Brook. Her funeral will take place on Monday, January 9th, 2023, at 1:00 pm at the United Church, Shoal Brook, with Mrs. Ruby Sharpe officiating with the burial to follow at the family plot of the Church Cemetery.
Jean’s family are encouraging visitors to wear masks during visitations.
