It is with great sorrow that the family announces his passing in Sudbury, Saturday, April 15, 2023, at the age of 90 years. Son of the late Adelard and the late Antonia (née Lemieux) Blais. Beloved husband of Marthe (née Roy) Blais. Loving stepfather of Daniel Leblanc (Cathy) and of the late Paul Leblanc (Nicole of St-Catharines). Cherished step-grandfather of Raymond, Stephane, Micheline, Julie, Janelle and great grandfather of Everly. Dear brother of Antoinette Blais, Thérèse Brouse both of Hanmer, Germaine Blais, Marie-Anna D’Amour (Robert) both of Sudbury and Jacqueline Blais of Garson. Predeceased by his sisters Rita Pierrette Hawes, Gertrude Brouse and his brother Eugene Blais (Gilberte of Sudbury). Sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. The family would like to thank Suzanne Robbins and all the staff at Bayshore for the amazing care they provided throughout Ernest’s journey. The family will receive relatives and friends at the Cooperative Funeral Home, 222 Lasalle Blvd, Sudbury on Wednesday, April 19, 2023, from 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral mass will be celebrated on Thursday, April 20, 2023, at 11 a.m. at St-Dominique Church, Sudbury. Interment to follow at Civic Memorial Cemetery at 2:30pm. In lieu of flowers, masses would be most appreciated. www.cooperativefuneralhome.ca
