SIPPEL, Elva Carrie, 86, of Tavistock passed away peacefully at PeopleCare Tavistock on Thursday, June 1, 2023.
She was born in South Easthope Township, Perth County on July 6, 1936, a daughter of the late Gordon and Verna (Schaefer) Wettlaufer.
She married Russell Henry Sippel at Sebastopol on December 6, 1958. He predeceased her on January 8, 2018.
Elva was a lifelong member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Sebastopol-Tavistock. She was passionately interested in and involved in the lives of her family.
Elva is survived by two daughters, Sharon Sippel and husband Rick Walton, Tanya and husband Rick McIntosh; four granddaughters, Angela Zehr and husband Cole Aicken, Jackie Zehr (Andrew St Jean), Rebecca McIntosh, Abigail McIntosh; great grandson, Miles Henry Aicken; two sisters, Ethel Sippel, Lenore and husband Harold Wolfgram; brother, Leonard Wettlaufer.
She was predeceased by her brother-in-law, Carl Sippel.
There will be no funeral home visitation. The funeral service will be held at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Sebastopol-Tavistock on Saturday, June 3, 2023 at 3.00 pm. The Rev. William Kramer will officiate. Interment in the church cemetery. Reception following.
