Obituary of Elizabeth Janna Looper
Elizabeth Janna Looper (nee DePooter) in her 73rd year, peacefully passed into her heavenly home on August 24th, 2023, surrounded by her family. Beloved wife of Albert Looper for 50 years. Loving mother to Jason (Annette) Looper, Julie Looper, Carolyn (Joel) Vriend, Mark (Leah) Looper, Amanda (John) Pennings, Lorraine (Donny) Frada, Jon (Nicole) Looper, Terry (Terri-Lynn) Looper. Loving Oma to Natalie, Lydia and Vanessa; Damian and Xavier; Noah, Jordan and Micah; Andrew, Olivia and Logan; Arianna and Mateo; Lilianna; and eagerly anticipated baby Looper arriving in November. Liz was born in Zaamslag, Zeeland Netherlands to the late Jan and Elizabeth DePooter. Sister to Pieter (Annie) DePooter; John ( † Nely) DePooter; Keith (Aafke) DePooter; Martin (Anita) DePooter; Arnold (Liz) DePooter; Mike (Ethel) DePooter; Ann (Larry) Lewis; Jake (Judy) DePooter; Bill (Olga) DePooter; Gary (Shirley) DePooter; Jacky (Larry) Bos. Sister-in-law to late Ywe(Barb) Looper; Jenne (Jackie) Looper and John(Pat) Looper. Loved by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held at Providence United Reformed Church at 447 Second St. Strathroy, on Friday, August 25th from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm. A private burial will take place prior to the funeral service which will be held on Saturday, August 26th at 12:00 pm at Providence United Reformed Church with a light lunch to follow.
In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for donations to the Canadian Cancer Society and Cure SMA Canada.
