Obituary
Elizabeth “Betty” Anna Gillard, 89, of Monarch Hall, passed away peacefully at her residence on Wednesday, March 1, 2023. Born in Salisbury, she was the daughter of the late Hubert and Eva (Hines) Turner.
Betty worked for the T. Eaton Co. in the catalogue department, she then stayed home to raise her family. She enjoyed bowling, watching curling, travelling with her husband, having been to many destinations across Canada and the USA.
She will be sadly missed by her husband, John Gillard; daughter, Cheryl Tanton (Wade Silliker); son, John Gillard (Susan); grandchildren, Nicholas Tanton (Laura Wukitsch) and Matthew Tanton; sister, Doreen Nelson; as well as nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her sisters, Joan and Marilyn; and brother, Austin.
Visitation at Fergusons Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995) on Sunday, March 5, 2023 from 1:00 to 2:00 pm. Followed immediately by a Service to Celebrate and Honour Betty’s life at 2:00 pm in the Funeral Home Chapel. Reception will follow. Interment will take place in Elmwood Cemetery in the spring.
