Obituary
Mrs. Elizabeth Anne Gregory of Fort Macleod, passed away peacefully late in the morning of Wednesday, December 28, 2022, at the age of 78 years.
She is survived by her loving and devoted husband, David Gregory, her daughter Kelly (Douglas) Nelson and her two grandsons, Heath and Rory Nelson of Lethbridge.
Bette Anne was born in Saint John, New Brunswick in July of 1944. She graduated from the Saint John General Hospital School of Nursing in 1966. David and Bette Anne made their way west to Alberta in 1970 where Bette Anne nursed in various disciplines until her retirement in 1999.
Around the time she retired, she was diagnosed with Ataxia of the Cerebellum, a degenerative neurological condition with no cure. She was an independent soul and fought back with grace and strength. She “did not go gently into that good night.
Bette Anne was a phenomenal cook who loved to laugh. She was kind-hearted, caring and very protective of her family. She loved Heath and Rory without reservation and a more complete life partner for David there could not be.
A Celebration of Bette Anne’s life will be held in the spring with her family and friends.
Flowers are gratefully declined. For those who wish, donations in memory of Bette Anne may be made to Ataxia Canada (lacaf.org/en).
