Obituary
Dylan Alexander Paterson was born on December 22nd, 1991 and passed away peacefully on February 8th, 2023 at the age of 31 in the city of Hamilton, where he resided over the past 10+ years. He is preceded in death by his grandfathers Alan Fawcett and John Paterson (senior). Dylan is survived by his father, John Paterson; mother, Paula Fawcett; step-mother, Maggie Paterson; brother, Aaron Paterson and brother-in-law, Roger Ojeda. He will be remembered by his grandmother, Paulette Paterson; grandmother, Lynn Sisson; step-brother, Cory Janzen and step-brother, Quin Riches. Dylan will be deeply missed by his many aunts, uncles, cousins, healthcare support staff and friends.
Dylan struggled with his mental health for the majority of his life, although this didn’t stop him from touching so many lives with his fun, light-hearted, loving, and caring personality. He was spontaneously funny and never questioned helping others, even when it wasn’t required. His favourite colour was red and he loved to eat spicy food. Dylan enjoyed camping, going for walks, and watching movies. He loved spending time with his brother while sipping a coffee and snacking on a donut. Dylan had an ear for music, listening to anything with a good beat from Pink Floyd to Lizzo. Even in death, Dylan continued helping others by saving many lives as an organ donor. He will not be forgotten

My heartfelt sympathies to the family and especially to my dear friend Paula. Although I haven’t seen Dylan in many years, I do remember the sweet young boy I knew then and who is close in age to my own sons. I pray for the family during this extremely difficult time. I can’t imagine what you are going through right now. May God keep you strong.
