Dwayne was born in Yorkton on August 26, 1951 & passed away peacefully on January 12, 2023 at Yorkton District Nursing Home, Yorkton, SK. with family & friends by his side.
He was a drywaller in Calgary, Saskatoon, B.C., Nunavut, he also worked at the Yorkton Friendship Centre for many years as well as a bus driver & water man at Tootinaowaziibeeng First Nation.
He enjoyed pool, golf, bowling, and reading western books. He also loved to watch his favorite hockey team, the Toronto Maple Leafs, favorite football team, Saskatchewan Roughriders and favorite baseball team, Toronto Blue Jays.
Dwayne was a cheeky guy, always teasing and loved his grandchildren even if they were only claimed as his own. He loved dancing, hence his name “George Jefferson”. He loved drywalling with his boys.
Dwayne was predeceased by his parents Frank & Elizabeth, a daughter Crystal Desjarlais and sons Darwin Whitehawk and Clinton Pelletier. Brothers Edwin & Anthony Pelletier, sisters; Marilyn Chartrand, Darlene Severight and Rita Pritchard.
Dwayne leaves to mourn his wife Valerie Pelletier, children; Ashley, Dwayne JR. (Alaina), Dustin (Robyn), Greg (Richelle) and Tim (Michelle), siblings; Karen (Rod), Brenda, Miles (Debbie), Barry (Jessica) and Lyle (Darlene) as well as numerous grandchildren, nieces, nephews & great grandchildren.
