BARTON, DOUGLAS NORTON
On Sunday, March 19th, 2023 at the Brockville General Hospital, Douglas Barton entered into rest with his family by his side, at the age of 78 years. Doug Barton beloved Husband of Mary Barton (nee Scott). Dear Father of Patricia Hoogwerf (Gary) and Pamela Dixie (Bill). Cherished Grandfather of Shannon, Jennifer, Laurynn, Lucas, Ryleigh and Jacob. Brother of Kenneth (Jane), Margie (Bill) and Murray (Christine). He was predeceased by his parents Bert and Billie Barton and by a son Scott Barton. Doug is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Family and friends may call at the MACKAY Funeral Home 416 Dibble St. West Prescott, from 6-8 pm on Monday March 27, 2023 with funeral service in the Prescott Chapel – MACKAY Funeral Home on Tuesday March 28, 2023 at 11 am.     Being married to Ken for these many years and knowing Doug for about 70 of those years it’s been a true honor and a privilege to have watched his life in all its wonderful moments.
    Doug was a respected by all who knew him and loved dearly by you his family.
    I hope you all know how deeply he loved you all.
    It has been a pleasure to be part of this remarkable family.
