The family of Doris Standen of Yorkton and formerly of Churchbridge, beloved wife of Robert Standen, sadly announce her passing on January 9, 2023.
Memorial donations in memory of Doris may be made to the Kidney Foundation, A3 – 116 103 St., Saskatoon, SK S7N 1Y7 as gifts of remembrance.
It is with great sadness the family of Doris Standen (Smith) announce that she passed away peacefully January 9, 2023 at the Yorkton Regional Health Center at the age of 80.
Doris was born December 31, 1942 in Ontario. She married her husband Robert (Bob) on December 3, 1959. They lived in several provinces while raising their five children Robert (Jennifer), Bill (Julie), Kelly (Cory Jesso), Dave (Tuyet), and Melanie (Chris Sander). Doris was also the very loving, proud Nana (gramma) to twelve grandchildren Justin, Jared, Matt, Marlie (Bill), Angela, Josh (Jesso, Kelly), Brandon, Brenna (Dave), Colton, Marshall, Connor, David (Ricketson, Melanie). She also was a great grandmother to Kaleb (Angela), Michaela, Layla (Brenna) and Lincoln (Matt). Doris is survived by two sisters, Dorothy and Diane and was predeceased by her brother Roy.
Doris was a kind hearted woman with a beautiful smile. She loved animals and was always doing what she could to help others.
There will not be a service at this time. The family will be gathering in Ontario in the future to have a celebration of life for Doris.
