Donald Delmar ‘Don’ Sauer succumbed to pneumonia at the Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre, Red Deer, Alberta on Wednesday, January 4, 2023 at the age of 85 years. Don was born in Maple Creek, Saskatchewan on December 21, 1937 to Karl and Ida Sauer. Don will be lovingly remembered by his children, Michelle (Randy) Lightheart, Chantall (Bob) Strauss and Derek Sauer, his grandchildren, Cliff Lightheart and Meaghan (Ian) Royle and his great grandchildren, Oliver and Lucas. A Celebration of Don’s Life will be held at Parkland Funeral Home, 6287 – 67 A Street (Taylor Drive), Red Deer, Alberta on Saturday, January 14, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. Cremation entrusted to Parkland Funeral Home and Crematorium, Red Deer, Alberta.
