Obituary
It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved brother, Dominic Sparrow, while surrounded by his family and friend Margaret at the Health Science Centre, St. John’s, on Thursday, December 29, 2022, at the age of 74 years.
Dominic is predeceased by his wife Linda (nee Critch), son Dominic Jr, parents Jack & Florence Sparrow, brother John and baby brother Michael; sisters: Cecilia, Betty and Janet, nephew Hank, parents-in-law Leonard & Alice Critch; brothers-in-law: David, Willie and Leonard (Dec. 27, 2022) Critch and Mike Taylor. Leaving to mourn his children, including special son Calvin and their mother Margaret, his grandchildren, sisters Jenny and Loretta (Leo); brothers: George, Pat (Doreen) and Michael, special friend Margaret Greening; sisters-in-law: Jose Kielly (Edward), Barb Dalton (Jim), Lenora and Jeanette and many nieces, nephews, cousins and a large circle of friends, especially his brothers at Ironworkers Local 764.
A special thank you is extended to doctors, nurses and staff of Health Science CCU and CVICU departments. The kindness and care you showed Dominic will always be remembered and the support you showed his family at such a sad time in our lives will not be forgotten.
As per Dominic’s request, cremation has taken place. Visitation and Mass of Christian Burial will be held at times to be announced in St. Mary’s. The family will be requesting face masks to be worn during the visitation and Funeral Mass.
