Driscoll – On December
31st, Dianne Gail Driscoll, of Summerside, aged
80 years, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her treasured
family.
Born in Freetown, Dianne was the daughter of the
late Leo and Elva (Reeves) Mallett. She is survived by her beloved
husband Arnold Driscoll; her children Lisa Driscoll (Joe Campbell),
Aaron Driscoll (Mary-Jane), Lana Driscoll, and Adam Driscoll (Tuba
Suer); her cherished grandson Alex Driscoll; sisters Doreen (Kenny)
Gunn and Crystal Roberts; and brother, David (Judy) Mallett.
Predeceased by a sister Marilyn Anne Mallett.
Dianne married her high school sweetheart, Arnold,
on August 17th, 1963, after a 5-year
courtship. Dianne was a loving and dedicated wife, mother,
grandmother, sister, and friend. After spending time at home
raising her family, she returned to work in finance at the CIBC in
Summerside. An accomplished piano player, top-notch
seamstress, and super baker, she was an involved mother who managed
(with Arnold) to raise 4 children who are siblings by birth and family
by choice. Dianne was very involved in all her
children’s sports activities whether it be cheering on the
hockey team or designing and creating figure skating
costumes. After her children “left the nest” she
was able to indulge in her love of travel, gardening, skating, and
golf with her life partner Arnold by her side.
Resting at the Moase Funeral Home, Summerside,
where funeral service will be held on Thursday at 11:00 a.m. Interment
later in St. Paul’s Cemetery, Summerside. Visiting hours
Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. In
lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Home Care
Palliative Fund – East Prince, the Canadian Pulmonary

appreciated. Dianne’s family would like to especially thank
Susan Doucette R.N., and her team of palliative home care nurses and
staff for their support, kindness, and care during Dianne’s
day last months, allowing her to die with the grace and dignity she
lived her entire life.
