Dennis Arthur Steele passed away on Tuesday, March 28th 2023 surrounded by his loving family.
Husband of the late Sharon Steele (2011).
Father of Renee Hartford, Brad Steele (Sandee), Jordan Steele (Marta), Adam Steele (Kim), Curtis Garrell (Nicole) and Ryan Steele (predeceased 2006).
Left to mourn are his loving grandchildren Jeral Lumley (Craig), Tyler Hatton (Megan), Olivia, Calvin, Everly and Xavier Steele, Shayne and Spencer Steele.
Great-grandchildren Genesia Lumley (Zack), Brooklyn Lumley, Noah Lumley, Parker Hatton and Charleigh Hatton.
Very special uncle to many nieces and nephews.
Dennis was born on May 12, 1940 to the late Laura Belle (Travis) and Irvin Steele. He was the youngest of four siblings, Olive Olbey (John 2022) predeceased by brothers James (Ione) and Eugene Steele. He resided in North Buxton and then moved to Toronto where Dennis worked as a Pot and Pan salesman. He went on to be a Car Salesman until retirement.
Friends will be received at the Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham on Friday March 31, 2023 from 3:00-5:00 pm and 7:00 – 9:00 pm.
A Funeral Service will be held at the Funeral Home on Saturday at 3:00 pm. Cremation to follow with Interment at North Buxton Community Church Cemetery at a later date.
In memory of Dennis donations can be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Society or Buxton Next Generation.
