Born at home on the farm up Mt. Sicker Road on March 1, 1929, passed away peacefully at Chemainus Health Care Centre on February 23, 2023. 5 days before his 94th birthday.
Long time resident of Crofton, Denny was predeceased by wife Betty (2019) younger brother George (2021) and his last faithful companion Dithers (2019). Dad/Papa will be missed by daughter Cathy, son in law Doug, grandsons Justin (Teresa), and Andrew (Amy).
Bringing a sparkle to his eyes and great joy were his great grandchildren Matthew, Paige, Ada and new baby due in June.
Denny will also be remembered by brother Horace (Diana) nephew Ed (Liz) nieces Jennifer (Ted) Angela (Randy) and great nieces and nephews. God-daughter Diane (Bryan) and family, honorary daughter Gerda and family, nieces Edna, Patricia (Peter) in England and the Coastal Missions family.
A celebration of life will be held June 24, 2023 from 1pm-4pm at Westholme school. 2558 Mt. Sicker Road.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Denny’s memory can be made to Cowichan Search and Rescue, P.O Box 1034 Duncan B.C V9L 3Y2 or B.C Forest Discovery Centre.
Special thanks to Cowichan Home Support for his wonderful care at home, the adult daycare program in Chemainus, Cerwydden from June-December 2022 and Chemainus Health Care Centre from December-February.
