Passed away surrounded by her family’s love on Sunday, April 16th at Stedman Hospice, Brantford in her 72nd year. Debbie was the dearly loved wife of Bob Foster for 52 years and adored mom of Rob (Paige) and BJ (Kate). She will be an especially missed Nana by her four beloved granddaughters who were the absolute lights of her life: Maggie and Jenna (Rob & Paige) and Reese and Kenzie (BJ & Kate). Also deeply feeling her loss will be sisters Sandy Kloepfer (Mike) and Carole Brezinski (Jack), sisters-in-law Betty Ames and Shari Foster; and their families as well as many relatives, friends and neighbours. Predeceased by her son Michael (1995) and parents Howie (2016) and Louise (2013).
Debbie was at her happiest when surrounded by family, whether at home in Burford or on holiday, at the cottage or spending winters with Bob in Arizona. She was a skilled businesswoman who helped make both Foster Fuels and Burford Golf Links run smoothly. She loved casino trips with her sisters and friends, baking and painting with her granddaughters and catching up on their lives. Over the last few months we are grateful we had the time to tell her how much she was loved, and we take comfort in knowing she is reunited with Mike who she missed so deeply for the last 28 years.
Friends will be received at the Keith Ovington Funeral Home, 134 King St., Burford on Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Funeral Service will be held in the chapel on Friday, April 21, 2023 at 11:00 am. Interment Pioneer Cemetery, Burford. As expressions of sympathy, donations in Debbie’s memory may be made to the Stedman Hospice, Burford Lions Way or Cancer Research Society.
