Obituary of David Dickie
It is with great sadness that the family of Edward Reginald David Dickie announces his passing at Kennebec Manor on Sunday, April 2, 2023. He was born in Digby, NS January 18, 1944, to the late Annie Elaine Woodman and Dr. Dudley Dickie.
David had a successful career as an electronic technician for various companies. David also did security for UNBSJ. David enjoyed Stockcar Racing, Fishing, Family BBQs, Jet Skiing and volunteering with Scouts Canada.
David is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Janice; sister, Jane Windsor, Halifax, NS; son, Tim Dickie (Cindy), Grand Bay-Westfield; daughter, Marianne Dickie (Wayne Moran), Hampton; grandchildren, Stephanie Dickie (Jason Campbell), Allyson Shannon (Kurtis) & Brandon Moran; great-grandchildren, Ethan, Brantley, Aubrielle & Aliyah; niece, Cailin Winters, Enfield, NS; aunt, Grace Woodman, St. John’s, NL and many cousins.
Heartfelt Thanks to David’s extended family at Kennebec Manor.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (634-7424). A Celebration of Life will be held from Hampton United Church on Thursday, April 6, 2023, beginning at 12:00 PM. Visitation will take place from 10:00 AM – 11:30 AM prior to the service. Interment will be held in Hampton Rural Cemetery at a later date. Those unable to attend are welcome to view the service via livestream by clicking the link on David’s obituary on the Brenan’s website. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to SJ-SPCA.
