Passed away peacefully with his wife by his side on February 14, 2023, at 63 years of age. Beloved husband of Karine. Dear father Kelly Stevenson (Kevin Moore). Treasured “Pa Dave” of Jaxon. Beloved son-in-law of Jean- Claude and Kathy Levesque. Brother of Jack Bradley (Sally). Brother-in-law of Daniel, Nathalie (Pierre), Chantal, and Benoit (Genevieve). Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Dave loved his sports, mostly baseball and hockey especially excelling at hockey at a young age. Playing Junior B Strathroy Blades 1976 with Hunter, Crossman, and McTavish among others. He still talked fondly about that team after their 40th reunion several years ago.
Dave was a fun-loving jokester that loved his friends and family, mostly when he was having a laugh at their expense. He made friends easily and loved having a drink with everyone that had the time and talk about anything and everything. His quick wit and jokester personality made him so very special to everyone.
When he got sick, it showed we truly admired the type of person he was. He didn’t complain, just faced every day and every new treatment as it came while adding some jokes along the way. Dave struggled through the pain and discomfort with a brave face and a joke. He was always ‘doing ok’ when we asked him, and we knew he was not feeling great. He will be missed profoundly.
Cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will take place in Strathroy at a later date.
Arrangements under the care of the Kennedy Funeral Home Ltd. – Your local funeral & cremation service.
