BALL: Cora Theresa (nee James)
It’s with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Cora Theresa Ball on March 22, 2023 at the age of 90.
Born in Chatham, Cora was the daughter of the late Wesley and Marie James.
Beloved mother to Wendy Showman (David), Brenda DeBaere (Gary), Scott Ball (Laurie), Tracey Levesque (Roger), and Stacey Douez (Randy), and the late Dwain James (1973).
Loving grandmother to Jennifer, Brandi, Brooke, Michaela, Chelsea, Jessica, Codie, Marcus, Gabe, the late Shelby and Jason. Great-grandmother to 8.
Survived by her siblings Clayton James, and Ruby Preston. Predeceased by her siblings Carol Jouwsma and Shirley Zruna.
Cora will be missed by many nieces, nephews, friends and extended family.
Cora will be remembered by her love for country music, her children, cooking, gardening, and the Detroit Tigers.
Friends will be received at the Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street Chatham on Sunday, March 26 from 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm. A Funeral liturgy will take place Monday, March 27 at 11:00 am.
