Obituary
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Clemency Gladys Roberts announce her peaceful passing at the A.M. Guy Memorial Health Centre on June 17, 2023 at the age of 95.
Clemency moved from Little Bay Islands to Buchans with her husband and children in 1968 where she remained to live a long and full life. Those who hold her dear will remember her fun-loving personality and are comforted to know that she maintained her wit and sense of humor until the end. Our memories of her are held close to our hearts.
Her family was her world and she loved them beyond measure. Clemency is predeceased by her husband Hubert, daughters Eileen and Bonnie and their spouses Donald Kirby and Maxwell Gushue, sisters Daisy, Elsie, Dorothy, Pearl, Mildred, Lillian, Ruth, and Shirley and brother Edward. She leaves to mourn her daughter Marjorie (William) Wilcox, Grandchildren Donna (Darrell) Lambert, Paula (Regi) White, Dean (Dawn) Kirby, Alison (Jason) Fellows, Andrew (Michelle) Wilcox, Aaron Wilcox, Corey (Lisa) Gushue, Jenna (Stacy Stuckey) Gushue, Great-Grandchildren, Matthew (Melissa) Lambert, Nathan (Arielle) Lambert, Chelsea and Riley Kirby, Lauren Wilcox, Austin Lee, Olivia and R.J. White, Zander and Zoey Gushue, and Liam Fellows. Great-great grandchildren Jackson, Liam, and Clara Lambert and Henry and Sebastian Lambert. She also leaves behind a large circle of nieces and nephews and many dear friends.
Her final care has been entrusted to Hoskins Funeral Home. Per her wishes cremation has taken place and there will not be a church service but a graveside ceremony will be held at a later date.
A heartfelt thank you to the staff of the A.M. Guy Memorial Health Centre for the excellent care she received during the past three years and a sincere thank you to her lovely ladies with whom she shared a room. Your kindness meant so much to the family.
