The passing of Clayton Willard McKeil of Holtville, NB, husband of the late Doris A. (Colford) McKeil, occurred on Thursday, September 7, 2023 at the Dr Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on August 1, 1931 in Holtville, NB, he was the son of the late Franklin and Udavilla (Munn) McKeil. Clayton was a carpenter who enjoyed hunting and being outdoors.
Clayton is survived by his daughters, Sheila Price (Wade), Maxine McKeil McCarty (Merrill), and Faye Young (Darcy); sons, Frank (Tena), Perry (Shawna) and Clayton Jr. (Janice Crawford); eight grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; sisters, June Hare, Geraldine Munn; brother, Milton McKeil; and several nieces and nephews.
Besides his wife and parents, he was predeceased by his sisters, Verna, Marguerite, Esther; brothers, Sterling and Clarence.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the loving care of York Funeral Home’s Miramichi Valley Chapel. A Graveside Service will take place in Cameron Hill Cemetery, Holtville on Tuesday, September 12, 2023 at 1:30 pm with Pastor Rick Bruce officiating. A reception will follow at the Upper Miramichi Lions Club from 2:30 to 4:30 pm. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association or to the charity of the donor’s choice and would be appreciated by the family.
