Obituary
Atwood, Christian Lee – 27, lost at sea on December 26, 2022. Born on August 18, 1995, he was a son of Ralph Atwood and Carmella Newell. Christian, the light that shone in every room he entered. His little boy was his shadow, his whole heart and he was so proud to be his dad. He loved fishing, camping, hiking, kayaking, waterfall hunting and lobstering among loads of other things especially cutting wood with his brother. He had two step-children that he loved like they were his own . He loved his nighttime video chats with his mom and all the funny filters they used. He loved to cook and bbqing was his absolute favourite. He had special burgers he loved to make. He loved his almost daily visits to Matt & Jeff’s ginger buddy. Also, he loved the random drives we would take and hated that I would scare him every single time, lol. He loved to get Starbucks and he tried sushi for the first time and loved it. Christian has left loads of great memories with everyone he has ever come in contact with. He will be greatly missed by all. Christian is survived by his parents, Ralph Atwood (Angie) and Carmella Newell (Craig); his son, Colson Atwood; his partner, Kristen and her children, Kelsey and Roman; great-grandmother, Doreen Symonds (Sheldon); grandmother, Kathleen Ayres (Stephen); brothers, Matthew Atwood (Kristin) and their children, Hunter Atwood, Hunter and Riley Stoddard; Joshua Atwood (Sarah Lynn) and their son, Kai; Dustin Atwood (Brandi Nadine); sisters, Megan Atwood (Nick) and Alexis Atwood (Aidan); uncle, Chadwick (Tammie) and their children, Brenden Newell and Maureen Symonds; aunt, Leslie Murphy (Jeff); many great aunts and uncles and cousins. He was predeceased by his grandparents, Joel Newell, special papa Jimmy, Elmer Atwood and Ada Brannen. Arrangements are under the care and direction of H.M. Huskilson’s Funeral Home, Barrington. A celebration of Christian’s life will be held on Saturday, January 7, at 2:00 pm from the H.M. Huskilson’s Memorial Chapel, Barrington.
