Obituary For Cheryl Lynn Anderson
It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden death of our mother, Cheryl Anderson.
Cheryl was born in Calgary, Alberta where most of her family resides. She grew up in a family of eight, five girls and 3 boys. She was kept busy as a young girl helping to care for her younger siblings. She moved to West Plains, Missouri when she was 17 and at 18 had her first child Jody. Cheryl was a very independent and determined young mother. She missed being in Canada and returned a few years later with a toddler in tow.
Cheryl moved from Calgary to Whitecourt where she worked at a sawmill for many years and gained some life long friends. She gave birth to her second daughter, Danielle at the age of 26.
A few years later she met her life-long partner Lorrie Shreenan and they settled in his home town of Grande Prairie. Together they raised two girls and made many memories. They enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting, and long country drives. Cheryl was eventually blessed with 5 grandchildren (Jaden, Mariah, Ben, Colin, and Avery). Her grandchildren were her life and she spent many hours colouring, cooking, watching movies, and camping with her babies. They will miss her immensely.
She is survived by her oldest daughter Jody Chrenek (Carson), Ben (16), Colin (14), Avery(6) and Danielle Anderson (Steve Jonzon), Jaden (18) and Mariah (17). Her siblings, Dawnie, Shannon, Darren, and Roger, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Cheryl is pre-deceased by both her parents, Wilfred and Dorothy Anderson, brother Gary, sisters, Charlene and Alice.
A Celebration of Life will take place in St. Albert at a later date to honour and remember our mom.
