Charlotte Clara Coombs passed peacefully away at the Labrador Health Centre in Happy Valley-Goose Bay on May 15, 2023, at the age of 81 years.
Leaving to mourn are her children: Derek, Bill, Maurice, Curtis (Judy), Gaye (Jimmy), and Shirley (Dean); sister: Karen (Robert); brother: Ben (Fran); grandchildren: Carol-Ann, Curtis, William, Mitchell, Wyatt, Olivia, and Owen; great-grandchildren: Ethan, Robert, Desmond, Aaron James (AJ); And a large circle of extended family and friends.
Predeceased by: Her mother and father Edith and Barton Reeves; husband: Peter; sister: Jessie, grandchildren: Hannah and Robert; daughter in Law: Trudy
A visitation will be held at Fillatre’s Funeral Home Tuesday May 16, 2:00-4:00pm for family; and 7:00-9:00 p.m. for the public.
A memorial service will be held at St. Andrew’s Anglican Church, 47 Grenfell Street, Happy Valley – Goose Bay, NL, with a time to be determined.
Charlotte was a very loved mother, grandmother, sister, great grandmother, and friend. She touched the lives of those she met with her kindness and gentle soul. Charlotte was the anchor of her family, which was her number one priority and would do what she could to help them all. Charlotte was 5 years old. When she started sewing and continued it throughout her life and later worked at Labrador Handicrafts. She had a special gift to create many different items. Many people have enjoyed her creations, and some had the honour of learning from her. She showed her family and friends so much love, kindness, empathy and patience. She had a special gift to make everyone feel accepted, welcomed, and loved. She loved word games and it showed during her games of Scrabble when she was always on the winning end. She was a very quiet reserved lady who enjoyed joking and making people laugh and smile. She was and will always be remembered to her family and those who know her as a woman to admire,
respect and follow.
