On Monday, March 20, 2023 Cathy Joan Graham went to be with her Lord and Saviour after a lengthy battle with cancer.
Cathy loved the simplicity of life and appreciated all the beauty around her. Her quiet but firm walk with God carried her over mountain after mountain, always without complaint, with her most common reassuring phrase, “We’ve got this!” Many will remember Cathy through her policing career and her many accomplishments during her years of service. She led with her love and compassion for others. However, Cathy considered her greatest accomplishment to be a wife and mother. Anyone who knew Cathy knew of her fierce love for her family.
Though Cathy’s health was failing in many ways over the last several years, very few knew the extent of her struggles. Her love to be with her family, watching her children pursue all of their activities and dreams, her joy for life, and superhero strength pushed her though the pain, which she would do everything to hide. She leaves such an incredible void in the many lives she touched.
Cathy is survived by her husband Dan Graham and their children Macguire (Hope Johnston) and Parker, her step sons Josh (Tesha Dudko), Joel (Mikhayla Robbins), and Jake Graham, and her mother-in-law Doris Graham. Cathy will also be missed by her brother and sister-in-law Dave and Martha Forrest, her brother-in-law and sister-in-law Jeff and Jeanne Martin and niece and nephews Adam, Eric, Megan, Ian and Tyler.
All are welcome to a Visitation and Celebration of Life for Cathy on Wednesday, March 29, 2023 at Maple City Baptist Church (500 Indian Creek Rd W, Chatham). Visitation will begin at 1:00pm, with a service to follow at 2:00pm. In lieu of flowers please consider donating to the Canadian Cancer Society or Bibles for Missions.
