Catherine’s Obituary
CROSBY, Catherine Ann – Age 53, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on August 18th, 2023, in Yarmouth Regional Hospital. Born in Yarmouth, she was a daughter of Charles and the late Emma Gabriel.
Catherine was a hard worker, doing various jobs throughout her life. She loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them, especially her grandchildren. She enjoyed knitting dishcloths, playing TV bingo on Monday nights, and dancing. Catherine was nosey, and loved to look for “news” from anyone who would share it.
Catherine is survived by her father, Charlie Gabriel, Belleville; children, Katie (Jordan) Cleveland, Yarmouth; Patrick Crosby, Brazil Lake; Cerissa Crosby, Yarmouth; and Tyler Crosby, Digby; siblings, Leo Fowler, Yarmouth; Ida (Dale) Thomas, Isabelle (Floyd) Gabriel, both from Dartmouth; Charles Gabriel, Carol Gabriel, Dorothy Gabriel, Tommy Gabriel, Lisa Gabriel, and Leslie Gabriel, all of Yarmouth; grandchildren, Jemma Cleveland and Athena Crosby.
Besides her mother, Catherine was predeceased by her sister, Margaret Falls.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Huskilson’s Funeral Home, Yarmouth. A Funeral Service will take place on Friday, August 25th, 2023 at 2 p.m. in Huskilsons Funeral Chapel, 29 Albert Street, Yarmouth, with Pastor Kevin Myers officiating.
