Carol Blanche MacDearmid – October 26, 1940 – January 31, 2023
We are saddened to announce the passing of Carol MacDearmid (nee Goodacre) of Collingwood (formerly of Stayner and New Lowell) on Tuesday, January 31, 2023, at the age of 82.
Carol was the beloved mother of Debbie Parliament (Randie), Donna Lamers (John), and Ken McNeil (Erin). Adored grandmother of Wendy Curran (Mark), Kelly Lamers (Jen), Tim Lamers (Stephanie), Shannon and Jennifer McNeil. Loving great-gramma to Aislyn and Mathesen. Cherished sister of Kim Zaydik (Tarik).
Carol was predeceased by her mother Blanche Goodacre (2011), brother David Goodacre (2015), sister Donna Wilson (2004), and brother-in-law Don Wilson (2003).
Many thanks to everyone at the Collingwood Nursing Home for their care and support, providing comfort to both Carol and her family, especially in her final days.
Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held at the Brentwood Community Center (9926 County Rd 10, New Lowell) on Saturday, February 18, 2023, from 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or Diabetes Canada would be greatly appreciated.
