It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our loved one on Tuesday, December 12, 2023 at James Paton Memorial Hospital, Gander, Bessie Blackwood age 77 years of Greenspond.
Predeceased by Husband; Darius, Parents; Noah and Carrie Burry and Edward “Cartie” and Bessie Carter, Brother; Walter Burry, and Great Granddaughters; Java and Sage Phillips.
Leaving to mourn are sons; Don (Peggy) of Greenspond, Arthur (Donna) of Cape Freels, Scott (Lisa) of Greenspond, Kevin (Shanna) of Greenspond. Daughters; Elizabeth (Rick) of Miscouche PEI, Linda (Frank) of Greenspond, Katherine (Wilfred) of Trinity. Brothers; Henry (Mae deceased) of Bonavista, Pearce (Phyllis deceased) of Bonavista, George (Christine) of Ontario. Sisters; Lorraine (Harry deceased) of Bonavista, Edwina (Donald deceased) of Centerville, Shirley Anne (Reg) of Bonavista.
Grandchildren; Pamela (Wilson), Robin (Satria), Megan (Zachary), Colton (Jillian), Nick (Jessica), Jennifer (Sean), Kelsey (Troy), Kirk (Brittany), Anthony (Tonya), Daniel (Jasmine), Anna (Mitchell), Louise, RJ (Melanie), Heather (Mikey), Karen (Richard), Laura, Hunter (Amber), Lacey, David (Morgan), Phillip, and Alexis.
Great Grandchildren; Alice, Levi, Benjamin, Daria, Tenley, Cecilia, Ryder, Delia, Michael, Amy, Chase, Boyd, Macey, Roland, Kyleigh, and a circle of many other relatives and friends.
Visitation to take place at Kittiwake Funeral Home, Pound Cove beginning on Thursday, December 14, 2023 from 1 – 2 p.m. (Family), 2 – 4 p.m. & 7 – 8 p.m. (Public), 8 – 9 p.m. (Family)
