Terrence (Terry) Gerard Bradbury
July 13, 1960 – January 6, 2024
It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of a dear husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend at his home in Torbay, Terry Gerard Bradbury (The Nun) July 13, 1960- January 6, 2024 age 63 years. Terry was predeceased by his parents Martin and Gladys, his siblings Ricky, Basil, Tony, Judy, Craig, Rodney, Sharon and Paul; his special nephew Michael Kilgore, special niece Tanya Bradbury and brother-in-law Joe White as well as parents-in-law Brendan and Jeanette Quigley and deceased members of the Bradbury and Quigley families. It is with very broken heart that he leaves to mourn his wife of 41 years, Rhonda, step daughter Natasha Quigley Hanames- (Donnie), son Ricky (Carmynn), daughter Katie ( Tristen- and his son Jacoby), granddaughters Stacey, Rachael, Amber, Layla and his pride and joy his twin grandsons Benjamin and Dominic. Also leaving to mourn very heavy hearts his brothers Gary (Peggy), Dominic (Bunnie), sisters Glendine, Dawn (Gerard) , sister-in-law Cathy Doyle (Carl) brothers-in-law Paul Quigley (Karen) and Shawn Quigley, special sister-in-law Debbie Bradbury and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends to numerous to mention. Special lifelong family friends Ed Gosse, Nickie Waterman and special cousin Stephen Bradbury, nephew who Terry always claimed as his son Basil Kilgore. Terry was a character famous for his one-liners. No one left the garage or house without having a Time, Feed and Lots of Laughter. Terry was known by his nickname “The Nun”, lots of people didn’t even know his real name. In honor of his childhood friends with nicknames I’ll name a few, Big Squires, Punk, Chienk, Moses, Worm and Smaybe. His one-liners and word pronunciation like the word turnip he says “termit” were a great source of entertainment for all who knew him. He was obsessed with his cabin in Millertown and moose hunting. His moose hunting buddies got to laugh their heads off this past fall when they were all together for two weeks. He spoke about their time together constantly, he was so thrilled to get there after missing a couple of years due to illness. I’m so grateful he had the time with his buddies in his favorite place in the world; yes the world, he always said he’d go to Millertown before ever going down south like everyone else. We would like to thank the Torbay Volunteer Fire Department, Emergency Services and First Responders, your professionalism and compassion will always be remembered. Also would like to thank Andy Ryan and Martin Kilgore for ploughing our yard for Emergency Services. Visitation and funeral arrangements to be announced.
