Lorraine Clarke, passed peacefully away at Pleasant View Towers surrounded by her family on Saturday, June 23, 2024, age 82.
She is predeceased by her parents Rendell and Gwen Mitchell, her husband Gordon Clarke, and her Brother Walter Mitchell.
Leaving to mourn, her sons Frank (Dawn), David, and daughter Janice (Robert). Her grandchildren, Will, Emma, Liam, Alex, Claire, and Reed. Sister Doreen (Jim). Sisters-in-law Sadie Clarke, and Jean Mitchell.
She was born and raised in Norris Point. She attended Memorial University and later met her husband on Fogo Island while they were both teaching there. Together they raised their kids in Deerlake. In her later years she moved to Portugal Cove to be closer to her daughter Janice. Lorraine enjoyed a multitude of activities in her life, but her favourite being her knitting and her tea. She enjoyed going to her church services at St. Lawrence Anglican Church and any activities they had especially cards.

Funeral service to take place from Caul’s Chapel, Torbay, on Wednesday at 10 a.m. with interment to follow to St. Lawrence Anglican Cemetery, Portugal Cove.
Donations can be made in Lorraine’s memory to St. Lawrence Anglican Church.
