Michele Lynn Pike Obituary
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of a special mother, daughter, grandmother and friend, Michele Lynn Pike. At the young age of 58 Michele passed peacefully surrounded by her loving family, after a long-fought battle of Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS). Leaving to mourn with many loving memories are her devoted parents Herb and Olive Pike, children Alex Sargent (Ashley), and Jennifer Sargent (Anthony), their father Kent Sargent (Marie), cherished grandchildren Payton and Jax Sargent, brother Bruce Pike (Adela), sister-in-law Heather Pike, nieces Kate and Candice, extended families and a large circle of friends
Michele found happiness in spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren who filled her heart with so much joy and love. She loved to laugh, spend time with her many cherished friends and radiate positivity to all those around her.
A special thank you to her dedicated friend, and as Michele would say, “the sister she never had” Heather Pike who assisted Michele for many years throughout her diagnoses, the ALS Society of NL and Dr. Hurley for her compassionate care.
“Happiness is not by chance but by choice” – Jim Rohn
These are words that Michele lived by. Even after her diagnosis with ALS, her positive attitude was unwavering. Michele lived every moment with a spirit of independence and joy, and spread this to those around her.
A small funeral service for family will take place, with a celebration of life to follow. Donations at this time can be made in Michele’s memory to the ALS Society or a charity of one’s choice.
“Your life was a blessing, your memory a treasure. You are loved beyond words and missed beyond measure.” — Renee Wood
