Passed away unexpectedly July 30, 2024 surrounded by his family and loved ones, Justin Janes, aged 35.
Predeceased by his grandfather Bernard Janes Sr., his close uncle Craig Janes, and cousin Josh Williams.
Leaving to mourn his fiancée Corrina Cake, parents Charmaine and Bernard Janes, his sister Sarah Janes-Littlejohn (Raymond), brother Christopher Janes, his special nieces Olivia and Scarlett Littlejohn, his grandmother Elizabeth Ring (Janes), grandparents Marlene and Patrick Coady, as well as his large extended family of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Justin will also be missed by his special friend Greg Heffernan, his American friend Tripp, fur babies Chico, Chloe, Penny, and River, the Conure.
Justin wore his heart on his sleeve, and if you were a friend, you were a friend for life. He saw the best in everyone and accepted people for who they were, without prejudice. He was always the first to offer a smile and then help regardless of the situation. He was a talented craftsman with his 3D printing and modeling and RC building and his creativity knew no bounds.
We are forever grateful to the EMTs, HSC emergency, ICU teams, and HSC Chaplaincy, especially Dr. Marko Balan for their exceptional care of Justin, and the kindness and compassion shown to our family.
Justin’s selfless nature will continue with his gift of organ donation. He will always be a superhero.
Cremation has taken place. Family will receive visitors at Carnell’s Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road, on Saturday, August 10 and Sunday, August 11 from 12-4 and 6-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held from the Carnell Memorial Chapel on Monday, August 12 at 2 p.m. The funeral will be live streamed for those unable to attend in person.
Flowers graciously accepted, or donations in Justin’s memory may be made to the Turtle Sanctuary, team@turtlerestandretirementvilla.ca, a cause close to Justin’s heart.
