John (Jack) Taylor Obituary
Passed peacefully away on January 11, 2024, just after his 87th birthday at Chancellor Park.
Predeceased by brothers Bill, Howard, Don and Roy; sisters Gwen, Lillian and Marion.
Leaving to mourn, his loving wife of 64 years Barbara; children, Tony (Bev), Dave (Heather), Tom (Trudy), Robyn Noseworthy (Dean); grandchildren Alex (Krista), Melissa Hill (Ryan), Matthew, Beth, Crystal (Jeremy), Jonathan (Lauren), Jeremy, Rebecca (Rob); great grandchildren Kate, Natalie, Kali and Nora; long-time friend Fred Newell and a large circle of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Jack, originally from Corner Brook, moved to St. John’s and enjoyed a long-time career at Hickman Motors and once retired, went back to work at Canadian Tire. Jack enjoyed watching and playing hockey, walking, camping and fishing.
The family would like to thank the staff at Glenbrook Lodge, Pleasantville Towers and Chancellor Park for the great care that he received.
Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 73 Commonwealth Avenue, Mount Pearl on Sunday January 14th from 11:00am-9:00pm and on Monday January 15th from 10:00am-12:00pm. Funeral service will be held at Barrett’s Mount Pearl Chapel at 1:00pm. Interment to follow at Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
