Jeffrey Frederick Murrin Obituary
With broken hearts and a life full of memories, we announce the peaceful passing of Jeffrey Frederick Murrin, age 49 years. Encircled with love and light from family and friends at the Health Sciences Centre, Jeff was carried Home, down the Highway of Heroes, on Friday, January 12th, 2024; his calm dignity and courageous journey with cancer was a testament to his individual strength and never-ending devotion.
After 25 years of romance, Jeff leaves to mourn his wife and soulmate, Tammy Murrin, with children and greatest blessings, Madison (Jack) and Jaydon, and best buddy, Reese the Saint Bernard, who all enriched his life with unconditional happiness. As the pride and joy of Fred and Marilyn, Jeff will forever remain in his parents’ hearts and prayers. Left to celebrate Jeff’s wonderful life are his mother- and father-in-law, Lloyd and Peg Morgan, sister, Karla, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

Jeff’s heart was as deep as the waters he dove. As a beacon of warmth and hope, always offering a listening ear or a helping hand, he embodied the extraordinary beauty of a simple human heart, forever cherishable by those who knew him. Next time you go for a drive, leave the window down, grab a tea, play some AC/DC, visit a friend, and remember Jeff’s fun-filled soul, including his pesky dad jokes and cheery grin.
Thank you to our family and friends who have offered unwavering support over these past nine months. Special thanks to Dr. Rorke and team, Dr. H. Bliss Murphy Cancer Centre staff, and Unit 4 North A nurses for their care throughout Jeff’s Journey, particularly Kirsten and Brad, who went out of their way to make the last days comfortable for Jeff and compassionate for Tammy. We will never forget your kindness.
Jeff loved his four-legged friends, both past and present. In lieu of flowers, donations in Jeff’s memory to the St. John’s SPCA or the Dr. H. Bliss Murphy Cancer Centre are graciously acceptable.

Resting at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 73 Commonwealth Avenue, Mount Pearl on Monday January 15th from 2:00pm-9:00pm and Tuesday January 16th from 10:00am-12:00pm. Funeral Service to take place on Tuesday January 16th at 1:30pm from Our Lady Queen of Families Parish, Mount Pearl with interment to follow at Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
