Brenda Joyce Pelley (nee Noseworthy) Obituary
It is with broken hearts and great sadness that we announce the passing of Brenda Joyce Pelley, ( nee Noseworthy) age 67 years on September 1, 2024, After a courageous battle with cancer, she died peacefully at home surrounded by her family.
Predeceased by her brother Brian Noseworthy; uncle Cliff Pelley; sister-in-law Elizabeth Pelley; her grandparents James and Lily Nosworthy and her father-in-law Dexter and mother-in-law, Ruth Pelley.
Brenda was born in St. John’s Newfoundland to Clarence and Joyce Noseworthy. Brenda was a dedicated wife and mother. She treasured her children and embraced every moment with them. She especially loved her role as Nan. She was the backbone of her family and was loved tremendously by them. Brenda died with dignity and her family was her entire world.
As we mourn the loss of our Brenda, we take comfort in memories of her infectious laugh, enthusiasm, her generous heart and the joy she brought to all that knew her. Brenda was always the life of the party. She loved gathering with friends and family singing, and playing her guitar. Brenda loved laughter and left everyone she knew with a smile.
Brenda enjoyed travel, cruises and southern vacations however her favourite trip and memory was right here in Newfoundland when Walter took her on a camping trip deep into the country where she caught her first fish and got to experience the beauty of nature up close. Her favourite hobby was gardening and she left behind enough flowers and trees in her friends and family’s gardens to remember her for many years to come.
Brenda will be lovingly remembered by her husband and best friend Walter Pelley after 34 beautiful years together; her parents Clarence and Joyce Noseworthy; sisters Jill, (Gary) Bonnie (Leo) Glenda (Dennis) Gloria and Lynette; brother Dexter(Bonita); children, Jill (Alex) Chad (Sharleen)and Scott; and her grandchildren Keira, Jackson, and Carter. Brenda will also be deeply missed by her nieces, nephews, friends, and extended family members.
Rest in peace, Brenda, your spirit and love will live on in our hearts forever.
Walter and family would like to express special thanks to family and friends for all of their love and support and the palliative care paramedic team.
Cremation has taken place and a celebration of Brenda‘s life will take place at a later date as per Brenda’s request.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Gathering Place in St. John’s Newfoundland.
