Anthony C. Baldwin Obituary
Anthony C. Baldwin
January 1, 1942 – June 15, 2024
It is with profound sadness that we, the Baldwin family, announce the passing of Anthony (Tony) Charles Baldwin on June 15, 2024. We rejoice in knowing that he is with his loving savior, Jesus Christ. His body is renewed and he is reunited with those who passed before him, especially his precious wife, Ella, who passed only six months ago.
Our dad lived a tremendously full life. He started life as the eldest of 5 in Markland, NL, where his love of being outdoors and in the country began. From that point onward, he strived to live a life filled with hard work and determination, culminating in an incredibly successful business life and more importantly, family life. Our parents shared 60 years of marriage, and together they raised three children. There was an abundance of love in our home where we were taught core values and the importance of family. We will be forever grateful.
Our Dad was passionate about his saviour, Jesus Christ and was bold and courageous to share his faith and the Gospel to anyone he met. He was fearless and so faithful. His example was one to emulate.
Our Dad was predeceased by his parents, John and Kathleen (nee Frampton) Baldwin, stepfathers Stephen Gregory and Ralph Mercer, parents-in-law Nora (nee Little) and Clifford Keats and stepfather-in-law Robert Crocker. His brothers Clarence Baldwin and Joseph Baldwin. Brothers-in-law Roy Keats, Dawson Harris, Tom Rogerson, sisters-in-law Mary, Moore and Carol Ann Gulliford-Keats.
Mourning his loss, his brother John Baldwin Jr. (Shirley), his sister Venita Harris, his sisters-in-law, Clarice Baldwin and Trixie Grout (Bill).
Celebrating his life and loving him always his children Trevor (Peggy), Mark (Corina) and Jill Follett (Randy). His grandchildren Tyler, Lisa (George), Madison (Brett), Makayla, (Ethan), Katie (Alex) and Sam (Kate). Great grandchildren Alexis, Axel, Owen and Ronan.
Special family Juanita Keats, Irene Murray and Stella Schinnour. A multitude of nieces, nephews and cousins.
So many friends, far too numerous to mention, especially all the brethren from Saint John’s Lodge No. 1, business friends, Salvation Army church friends & family and friends from the Gideons organization.
In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to a cause Dad had his most recent passion for. The Saint John’s Lodge No.1 “Books for Bikes”. (See Link Below)
As per our Dad’s wishes, cremation has taken place. The family will be having a visitation on Wednesday, June 19th 2024 from 11-2pm and 7-9pm at Barrett’s Funeral Home, Hamilton Avenue, St. John’s. The funeral and celebration of life will take place on June 20th 2024 at 10:30am from The Salvation Army CBS Corps with burial to follow at The Salvation Army Cemetery Blackmarsh Road. For those unable to attend the service for Tony please follow the link below or on our main page to tune in via The Salvation Army CBS Corps Facebook page.
One last time, “Hi folks, this is Tony Baldwin from B&K Carpet.”
We will love you forever
Trevor, Mark and Jill
