Gary C. Holmes age 65 of Elmira, Ny passed away on Monday January 8, 2024 at The Arnot Ogden Medical Center . Gary was born July 31, 1958 in Manchester, England the son of the late Charles and Sylvia Travis Holmes. He married his wife Christine A. Fesetch on December 18, 1998 and they recently celebrated their 25th Wedding Anniversary on December 18, 2023. He was a retired machinist at Thomas & Betts in Horseheads, NY . He loved soccer and The Manchester City F.C. and the Miami Dolphins football team.. Gary is survived by his wife Christine A. Fesetch Holmes ; his children: Kansass Smith , Anthony Fesetch Sr. , and Jordan Gleason; grandchildren : Arianna Heath, Logan Cecce , Taylor Carey , Meta Daugherty , Xavier Daugherty , Evie Smith , Anthony Fesetch Jr , and Sydney Smith ; brothers and sisters : Andrew Holmes , Karen Holmes Fazenbaker , Phillip Holmes ; fathers-in-law and mother-in-law : William Fesetch and Elanie Fesetch and Lynwood Pennhollow; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law: LouAnn Gleason , William Fesetch Jr. , Brian Fesetch , David Fesetch , Kevin Gelinas , Dawn Gelinas King , and Jennifer Gelinas ; several nieces, nephews , and family members in England. Gary was pre-deceased by his mother-in-law Kathleen Penhollow and brothers-in-law Robert Gelinas and Kelly Gelinas. It was Gary wish that there be no calling hours or services at this time. A Celebration of Gary’s Life will be held at a time to be announced. Arrangements are entrusted to the LYNCH FUNERAL HOME 318 WEST BROAD STREET HORSEHEADS , NY.
