It is with great sadness that the family of Simon Canning announce his passing on February 3, 2024 at Curtis Memorial Hospital, St. Anthony, NL at the age of 89.
Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are his sons Jerry Adams (Joanne) and Graham Canning. His loving Grandchildren, Jennifer Todd (Robert), Jamie Adams, Heather Parsons (Mark), Kristoffer Canning (Caroline), Lexi Ploc-Canning, Cierra Rawson (Aly), Luke Beltanu-Ploc (Hannah), Jesse Ploc-Canning and 3 great-grandchildren Mia, Hendrix and Winslow. Simon also leaves behind a large circle of nieces, nephews and other relatives whom he loved dearly. Simon also leaves to mourn his sisters Dorcas (Hubert) Cassell and Dora (Fred) Eddison.
He is predeceased in death by his loving wife Clarabelle, parents Andrew and Emma Canning, brothers Donald (Nellie) Canning, Arthur (Hilda) Canning, Walter Canning and sisters Cora (Fred) Denney and Ruby Pollard.
Visitation to take place from the Pentecostal Faith Tabernacle in Roddickton, NL beginning the evening of Tuesday, February 6, 2024 from 7-9 pm and will continue Wednesday from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm with the funeral being held on Thursday, February 8, 2024 at 2:00 pm with Rev. Mark Locke officiating. Interment to follow.
