It is with profound sadness and much love that we grieve the passing of Diana Marie Edwards; beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend on Friday, October 21, 2023 at the age of 64.
Diane was born, raised and lived her entire life in Lawn. Throughout those years she cultivated a good life with her family and willingly participated in many community events and fund raisers. She volunteered on several committees; including the Cemetery Committee, Town Hall Committee and Lawn Fire Department Firettes. Besides her family, Diane’s true passion was gardening; and she took great pride in the upkeep of her trees, shrubs and flowers. She shared her Mother’s “green thumb” when it came to her garden. Diane was a hard worker who did not shy from any task. She took it upon herself to maintain the family plot for over 30 years. Anyone who worked alongside Diane knew her to be fun, loyal and dependable. She was unselfishly always there for her family or anyone else in town who needed a helping hand. Diane had a great sense of humor and you were assured of many belly laughs any time you shared her company.
Diana will be lovingly remembered by her devoted husband and best friend Jim, son Shane (Sacha) and daughter Tara (Andrew Parsons); grandchildren Quinn and Olivia Edwards, Cava Cole, Everely and Allie Parsons; sisters Shirley Taillon (Ray), Sheena Edwards, Marilyn Boone, Helen Rose (Reg), Margaret Tarrant (Jody) and brother Leonard Edwards; sisters-in-law Anna Haby, Beatrice Reeves (Hiram) Mary Strang (Wayne), Trudy Roul (Adrian), Ellen Edwards (Brian Drake), Wanda Edwards and Iris Edwards and brothers-in-law Emmanuel (Bernice), Vince (Claire) and Bill Edwards; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Diana was predeceased by her parents Leonard and Catherine Edwards, baby sister Sheena, brothers Douglas, David, George and Stuart; parents-in-law Esther and Thomas Edwards; sisters-in-law Mary (Doug) and Sharon (Dave) Edwards, Julia Slaney and Anita Connors; brothers-in-law Chris Boone, Henry, Thomas & Leo Edwards.
The Edwards family will be accepting visitors at her home in Lawn on Sunday October 22, 2023 from 4 – 8 P.M. and Monday, October 23, 2023 from 12 – 6 P.M.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Holy Name of Jesus Roman Catholic Church, Lawn on Tuesday, October 24, 2023 at 11am. Cremation and internment to follow at a later date.
In Diana’s memory donations may be made to The Edwards Family or flowers gratefully accepted.
